Man robbed at gunpoint
A man was robbed and pistol whipped in his car Tuesday morning by two men in an intersection, South San Francisco police report.
At 1:10 a.m., a man slowed his car at the intersection of Spruce and Huntington avenues when a primer colored Honda Accord drove in front of him and blocked his movement. The passenger got out of the car, approached the victim at gunpoint, demanded money, removed the man's wallet and backpack from the front seat and then pistol whipped him. The man suffered a minor head injury, according to police.
The suspects fled in the vehicle northbound on South Spruce Avenue, police said.
The man with the gun is described as Polynesian, approximately 6 feet tall, 250 to 275 pounds with a dark completion and long black hair in a braided ponytail. He was wearing a long, white T-shirt and baggy dark pants. He was wearing black baseball gloves during the robbery. The wanted driver is only described as a dark-skinned man with an afro. Both men appeared to be 25 to 30 years old, police said.
Both suspects are at large, police said.
A similar report was taken in San Mateo the night before. On Monday at 7:11 p.m., two similar suspects robbed the 7-Eleven on Concar Drive. The suspects were 25 to 30 years old, 5 feet 8 inches tall and 170 pounds, said San Mateo police Lt. Tom Daughtry.<
