A 17-year-old was arrested in Half Moon Bay Friday night for firing a gun on the 100 block of Iris Lane and then evading deputies, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
At about 10:45 p.m., deputies were dispatched to the location and spotted the Half Moon Bay teen on State Route 92, where they tried to pull him over but he sped away. Tire spike strips were laid out and the car stopped near Pilarcitos and Oak avenues, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
During the investigation, deputies located multiple 9 mm rounds and a spent shell casing inside the vehicle, which were collected for evidence. The suspect is also believed to have been driving under the influence of alcohol, according to the Sheriff’s Office.
