Thank you, veterans

Accompanied by son and former Marine Hans Scholtz, second from right, Brenda Ternullo, right, fourth vice president of Blue Star Mothers of America, presented a wreath during the Veterans Day Commemorative Ceremony at the Golden Gate National Cemetery in San Bruno. Blue Star Mothers supports those serving in the military, guard or reserves, and veterans.

Normally on Veterans Day, volunteers gather at the Riverside National Cemetery in California to place flags alongside more than 300,000 grave sites.

In San Bruno, the Golden Gate National Cemetery is typically the site for an event honoring those who served in the military.
