A fatal hit-and-run collision took the life of a woman in Burlingame Tuesday morning, the Burlingame Police Department said in a press release.
The victim, a Daly City resident whose name was not released, was pronounced dead at the scene at the intersection of Trousdale Drive and El Camino Real, the press release said. She was struck by a vehicle, with officers arriving at the scene at approximately 6:09 a.m.
A suspect was arrested following the hit-and-run, according to the press release.
“Following an extensive investigation, officers identified and arrested a male suspect from Millbrae in connection with the collision,” the press release said.
Investigation into the crash remains ongoing, the press release said, and anyone with information is encouraged to contact Burlingame police traffic director Jason Orloff at (650) 777-4150.
Is this the second pedestrian to die in Burlingame in recent months? A bit more context would be helpful. So many people dying on Peninsula streets and this doesn't get the coverage it deserves. If these were murders, there would be an uproar.
