As Redwood City looks to make significant improvements to the Highway 101/Woodside Road interchange, it must first acquire access to nearby property before it can move forward, but some property owners are objecting to the effort.

At the upcoming council meeting, April 28, a public hearing will be conducted to discuss the needed acquisition and collect responses from interested parties before the city council will vote whether to adopt a resolution declaring the procurements’ necessity.

We do not live in a free country - that has been an illusion for a long time. If the government wants your land - they will take it. By force or by litigation. The fact property tax is a thing -and the IRS has been a thing explains everything. See the interview with Joe Bannister former IRS agent - of how the IRS was always Unconstitutional. We won't get into who really runs the IRS. I suggest watching Eustace Mullins talk about the Federal Reserve and the "Magical Money Machine" - one hour interview that will change your lifes understanding. Income Tax of the day was what the Revolutionary War was fought over - but we docile slaves pay it willingly these days. Liberty is a farce - we should not have to pay tax on the land we live on. If they could tax the very air we breathe they would - thats exactly what the whole "climate change" grift is about. These people in power are House of Usher level sociopaths - just listen to what the prospective new head of the WEF (Peter Brabeck) has said about water rights. He was the CEO of Nestle and said human beings should only be allowed X amount of water to live and that WATER should be turned into a trademarked commodity on the stock market. I am not making this up. And Bill Gates has been on VIDEO saying that planting trees is a waste of time for idiots - and that vaccines solve "climate change". I guess Billy Boy doesn't understand how photosynthesis works. Plants and humans mutually help each other survive. CO2 gets turned back into oxygen via photosynthesis. The Public School system in America used to teach bright kids - and none of us in the 90s cared what each other looked like or where each other came from - then it changed into indoctrination for soft morons that dont like critical thinking and like warm milk and a cookie rather than truth. The USA has been a bureaucratic money printing machine since the Federal Reserve Act. You want to build an extra toilet in your house? Well - you need a permit for that. You want to build a moving vehicle and drive somewhere - well you need a permit for that. You want to protect yourself with a firearm? Well - you need a permit for that. See what I'm saying? This country was founded under God - now we have men and women that could care less if we die - telling us the measure of ourselves. This country has been a stain on the Constitution that our founding fathers signed years ago - and like all "presidential" terms - nothing will really change - because the people who rule over us could care less. And if you think Trump cares about you - you need to have your head examined. That dude WAS close friends with Jeffrey Epstein - and if you want to excuse that - look in the mirror. And RIP to Virginia Giuffre. She "committed suicide" recently. If you people really want to look into what goes on. Read the books Thanks for the Memories by Brice Taylor and Tranceformation of America by Cathy O'Brien. Maybe some people on this forum could pull their heads out of the sand.

So Redwood City is taking land that creates property tax and turns it into land that does not.

Instead that land will increase congestion, air pollution, noise pollution, bring more car violence and will cost a lot of money in building it (>$500M). And let's not forget the maintenance cost going forward.

Again - less property tax and more air pollution coming into Redwood City.

San Mateo City council has opposed their highway intersection problem (101/92) - Redwood City council has not shown that smarts.

This project is violating CEQA all the way and the EIR is a farce.
