An overturned big rig spilled that debris Monday morning on a transition road from the San Mateo Bridge to southbound Highway 101 blocked the road through early afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The truck was hauling metal debris and overturned shortly before 6 a.m., blocking all southbound lanes on the transition road. A Sig Alert was issued about 6:20 a.m.
Metal debris was scattered across the road, CHP Officer Jovita Ojeda said.
No injuries were reported in the collision.
