Paul J. Comaroto, a Dartmouth College student and a San Mateo native, will be studying German in the spring 2005 term as part of the college's exchange program.
The Our Sunday Visitor Institute this week awarded the Society of St. Vincent de Paul (SVdP) National Council a $50,000 grant to begin implementation of a development project using model sites. The San Mateo County SVdP council is one of the five selected sites.
Dr. Kevin Hearle of San Mateo has been named as the 2005 recipient of the Robert W. and Dorothy Burkhardt Award by the Ball State University Foundation of Muncie, Indiana.
