The Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors’ Bureau in conjunction with Wells Fargo Bank, Earley and Earley, The GraphicWorks, the City of Half Moon Bay, Alifano Technologies, and Oceano Hotel and Spa hosted its 47th Annual Recognition Dinner on Jan. 29 at the Oceano Hotel with over 100 members in attendance.
Bureau President and CEO Charise Hale McHugh, ACE kicked off the event with her annual State of the Chamber address.
The Bert Carli Volunteer of the Year Award was presented to Buddy Sowle for his countless hours of assistance at the Chamber’s wine booths for the annual Pumpkin Festival and the Business Hall of Fame Award was presented to Kelly Davis, owner of The GraphicWorks, for the enormous support she has given to Coastside businesses, nonprofits, and community as a whole.
The Honorable Mayor Marina Fraser conducted the introduction and swearing in of the 2010 Half Moon Bay Coastside Chamber of Commerce and Visitors’ Bureau officers and directors, including Wayne Meyer, chair; Sara Watson, vice-chair; Robert Dragony, chief financial officer; and ex-officio, Heidi Kuiper. Additional directors include Tara Earley, Chris Mickelsen, Rick Ellis, Teresa Adam, Cortney Alifano, Kelly Davis, Shahrzad Pantera and Sheri Olson.
Attendees were entertained with laughs dished out by nationally renowned political comedian Will Durst.
