San Mateo Gymnastics dominated the annual Teddy Bear Classic. Levels 4 and 5 each took first place while the Level 6 team finished in second.
Maya Gutierrez won the all-around gold medal for Level 5, taking first in the floor exercise and second on the balance beam. Cassidy Barman took third in the all-around competition, finishing first in the vault and the uneven bars.
Kayla Wright had a great meet in the Level 6 Middle division, scoring 9s and above in all events. She took the bronze in the all-around competition with a silver on the vault. Danielle Jow won the gold on the floor exercise with a score of 9.5.
Emily O'Hara won the gold medal all around in the Level 5 division, taking first in the vault, beam and floor. Phallen Ransohoff was third in the all around, earning a gold on the bars with a score of 9.6.

The Borel School Eighth Grade girls' volleyball team won its third straight league championship, finishing the season undefeated. During Borel's run, it has compiled a record on 37-0 over the last three seasons. The same team won the sixth- and seventh-grade championships the previous two seasons.

The Bowditch Sixth Grade girls' volleyball team captured the Grade "A" Girls' Volleyball Championship, defeating Borel in three games and finishing the season with an undefeated record.
The seventh- and eighth-grade teams also made it to their championship matches.

Woodside High is holding its second-annual Alumni Varsity Basketball Game Friday night at 7 in the school's nw gym.

The game matches the Wildcats' 2005-06 team against a team comprised of alumni players that played from 1996 to 2004.
106.1 KMEL DJ Chuy Gomez will serve as a guest announcer and there will be raffles and prizes. Cost is $5 for adults and students without PAL stickers; $3 for students with PAL stickers, $2 for children 12 and under. All proceeds go to the Woodside boys' basketball program.

This weekend marks the start of the annual Burlingame High School Thanksgiving Women's Soccer Tournament.

The 29th annual Burlingame Lions Club Invitational Basketball Tournament begins Wednesday, Dec. 7 and runs through Dec. 8. It is the longest-running tournament on the Peninsula.
Teams scheduled to compete are: Terra Nova, Menlo School, Menlo-Atherton, Gunn, Burlingame, University, Riordan and Hillsdale.
