The Juventus Destiny, a girls' 13-and-under Class I CYSA soccer team, is holding tryouts at 12:30 p.m. Sunday and at 10:30 a.m. June 12. The California Golden Gaters, a 12-and-under select baseball team based in Millbrae, is holding a fund-raising dinner and silent auction to help defray some of the costs of attending the youth Hall of Fame tournament in Cooperstown, NY. The dinner, auction and raffle will be held Saturday at the Millbrae Community Center beginning at 6 p.m. Dinner tickets cost $25 per person and raffle tickets are $10 each. Prizes include a one-week trip to Puerto Vallarta in Mexico along with cash prizes. For more information, call Rick or Lisa Arriaga at 583-4707.

Serra varsity basketball coach Chuck Rapp and the San Bruno Parks and Recreation Department are looking for competitive basketball players to participate in the 15th annual Summer Slam Basketball League.
There will be five different divisions: a co-ed division for boys and girls entering the fourth and fifth grades, sixth and seventh grade boys, eighth and ninth grade boys and girls, and boys entering 10th through 12th grade. Cañada College is hosting two summer youth soccer camps for boys and girls of all skill levels from ages 6 to 16.
The first camp will be held June 21-25 and the second is July 12-16. Half-day sessions cost $140 with full-day sessions costing $190. All proceeds benefit the Cañada men's and women's soccer programs. Deadline for the first camp is June 14 and the deadline for the second session is July 2.

Women interested in participating in a fast-pitch traveling league in Northern California are encouraged to contact the local Amateur Softball Association (ASA) or league representative about participating.
The ASA commissioner for the Pacific Coast Region announced that the association would be willing to offer a highly competitive traveling league if the interest level is there. The league will have six teams throughout Northern California and Nevada with being played on four weekends throughout the summer.
