State champ CSM Bulldogs honored

The 2024 California Community College state football champion College of San Mateo Bulldogs were honored Monday on the floors of both the Assembly and Senate Chambers in Sacramento. Assemblymember Diane Papan, D-San Mateo, and Senator Josh Becker, D-Menlo Park, recognized the Bulldogs for their second state and title in three years.

Included in the top row are CSM’s special advisor to the head coach Larry Owens, left, CSM athletic director Andres Wolf, second from left, CSM head coach Tim Tulloch, fourth from left, Papan, fifth from left, and CSM defensive coordinator Hansen Sekona, second from right.

‘The CSM Bulldogs represent the best of college athletics—commitment, discipline, and a drive to be great in every aspect of life,’ said Becker. ‘Their success on the field is matched by their achievements in the classroom and their dedication to the San Mateo community. It’s an honor to celebrate their championship season.’
