Capuchino 8, Westmoor 0
The Mustangs unleashed a season’s worth of frustrations out on the Rams as they secured their first win of the season in the Ocean Division opener for both teams.
Capuchino (1-0 PAL Ocean, 1-9-1 overall) erupted for six, first-half goals. Emma Vega was the only Mustang with a multi-goal game, potting a pair. Yareli Diaz, Brooklyn Zayac, Reese Larson, Bella Magni, Leighana Wilmes and Camille Fox-Lucero rounded out the scoring ror Cap.
Westmoor is 0-1 in Ocean play and 0-3 overall.
San Mateo 6, Oceana 2
The Bearcats scored three goals in each half as they battered the Sharks.
Kayla Lichaa had a huge game for San Mateo (1-0 PAL Ocean, 4-3 overall). She scored three times and assisted on two more. Lulu Bertolina added a goal and an assist for the Bearcats, with Violet Vestner and Kyla Jain rounding out the scoring.
Oceana is 0-1 in Ocean play and 2-2 overall.
Terra Nova 7, Jefferson 0
The Tigers completed a slate of Ocean Division blowouts as they cruised to the win over Grizzlies, scoring four times in the first half and three more in the second.
Dani Guterres scored a pair of goals for Terra Nova (1-0 PAL Ocean, 5-3 overall), while Laney Wilson supplied a goal and an assist. Aleah McArthur, McKenna Shih, Nina Alexiev and Whitney O’Reily all scored a goal for the Tigers, while Geneva Chan earned a couple of assists.
Mills 1, El Camino 0
Citlaly Gerardo Hernandez scored the game’s only goal to lift the Vikings to the win over the Colts.
Mills is 1-0 in Ocean play and 6-7 overall; while El Camino is 0-1 and 2-8.
Hillsdale 1, Burlingame 0
The Knights picked up their first Bay Division win of the season, scoring a second-half goal to beat the Panthers.
Ella Michon converted an Alyssa Han pass into the game’s only goal for Hillsdale (1-2-2 PAL Bay, 3-5-2 overall).
Burlingame falls to 2-3-1 in Bay play and 2-6-3 overall.
Menlo-Atherton 2, Carlmont 2
After opening Bay play with two straight wins, the Scots are 1-1-2 in their last four after the draw with the Bears.
Each team scored once in each half. Natalie Chu opened the scoring for Carlmont (2-1-2 PAL Bay, 5-3-3 overall) with an assist from Niyati Hazari. Delaney Kumer scored an unassisted goal in the second half for the Scots.
M-A is now 1-3-1 in the Bay Division and 5-4-3 overall.
Sequoia 3, Aragon 1
Tied 1-all at halftime, the Ravens scored twice in the second half to pick up their second straight win and are unbeaten in their last four games.
Sarah Schembri had a goal and assist for Sequoia (2-0-2 PAL Bay, 4-4-3 overall), while Gigi Jarolimcek rounding out the scoring. Kate Dutton, Leah McDowell and Hadley Ryan all contributed assists for the Scots.

Menlo School 3, Notre Dame-Belmont 1
The Knights rallied from a 1-0 deficit to beat the Tigers in a WBAL Foothill Division win.
NDB (1-3 WBAL Foothill, 4-6-1 overall) took a 1-0 lead on first-half penalty kick, but Menlo (2-1, 3-2-4) got the equalizer from Audrey Zhen to tie the game at 1-all at halftime.
It stayed tied until the final 27 minutes, when the Knights struck twice. Juliet DeCherney gave Menlo the lead in 53rd minute off an assist from Krista Arreola. Arreola then gave the Knights an insurance goal off an assist from Josie Lee.
Boys’ soccer
Serra 1, Valley Christian 0
The Padres won their second game in a row and their second 1-0 victory.
Serra improves to 2-1-1 in WCAL play and 6-2-2 overall. Valley falls to 1-1-2 in league and 5-3-2 overall.
Girls’ basketball result
Crystal Springs (1-1 WBAL Foothill) cruised past Mercy (0-2, 6-6), 43-20.
Boys’ basketball result
Crystal (1-1 WBAL, 11-3) topped Harker (0-2, 5-10), 58-42.
