Menlo School drops season opener

Hunter Coleman paced Menlo boys’ water polo with four goals, and Jackson Coleman scored three, but it was not enough to overcome a fast start by Archie Williams-San Anselmo (1-0) in a 13-10 loss in the 2024 season opener at Menlo School (0-1). The Peregrine Falcons jumped out to a 6-2 lead in the first quarter and led the rest of the way. Menlo goalkeeper Connor Burks was solid after checking in to start the second half. Burks totaled 11 saves against four goals, as Menlo outscored Archie Williams 5-4 in the half. Coleman and Stoffel added two steals apiece, while Calvin Barad had two blocked shots.
