The Padres have posted two shutouts in WCAL play and have held three opponents to a total of 12 points. … VC’s defense has also been stout since WCAL began. The Knights have posted back-to-back shutouts while scoring a combined 89 points. … RB Bralyn Lux had 130 yards of total offense last week and scored three touchdowns. He rushed for a team high 94 yards on just five carries.

The Scots doubled up Capuchino 28-16 last week. … The Grizzlies grabbed a 45-20 win over Mills. … Jefferson beat Carlmont 40-28 in 2017. … Carlmont is the lone undefeated team remaining in the Lake Division and have won four straight. … A Scots’ win would put them in the driver’s seat for the division title. … The Scots’ defense has not allowed more than 21 points in any game this season and lead the division in points allowed at 17. … Jefferson is tied with Terra Nova for highest scoring average in the PAL at 38.5 points per game. … Grizzlies’ QB Joaquin Alvarez went over the 200-yard passing mark for the third straight game, having thrown for 836 yards and 13 TDs over that time.Â

CSM crushed Santa Rosa 66-21 last season. … Since losing its opener, 33-21 to Fresno, Santa Rosa has won four straight games and is ranked 10th in the state in the CCCSIA rankings. … The Bear Cubs are one of four teams in the Bay 6 to have a 4-1 record. … The Bear Cubs scored a season high 49 points last week. 42 allowed was also a season high ... CSM is one of just five teams ranked teams with two losses. The Bulldogs are No. 11 in the CCCSIA poll. … The 28 points allowed was the most CSM has allowed since a 42-31 win over San Francisco in Week 8 of 2017.
