Menlo School 5, Woodside Priory 0
The Knights used a balanced attack to shut out the Tigers in a WBAL Foothill Division match.
Five different players scored for Menlo (3-0 WBAL Foothill, 11-1 overall), which have outscored its opponents 43-7 during its seven-game winning streak.
The Knights needed less than five minutes to take control of the game as Avery Patel scored in the second minute. Emily Tse made it 2-0 off an assist from Sidney Peña. Sophie Jones tallied her 10th goal of the season just before halftime, she added an assist on Julia Deffner’s goal, while Carolina Espinosa notched her ninth goal of the season to round out the scoring.
Half Moon Bay 4, Jefferson 1
Tied at halftime, the Cougars scored three times in the second half to post a PAL Lake Division victory.
Morgan Day led HMB (6-1 PAL Lake), finishing with a hat trick. Her goal off a free kick from 30 yards out tied the game in the first half. She then scored the Cougars’ next two goals. Rachel Rodrigues rounded out the scoring, with Day earning the assist off the corner kick.
South City 1, San Mateo 0
The Warriors got a second-half goal from Fatima Waldo-Garcia to improve to 3-0-1 in Ocean Division play.
Alexandra Arouxet Jara earned the assist for South City.
Hillsdale 6, El Camino 0
The Knights stayed hot on the heels of Ocean Division-leading South City with the rout of the Colts.
Chaslyn Nestor scored a pair of goals to lead Hillsdale (3-1-1 PAL Ocean, 8-5-4 overall), while Aaliyah Schinaman and Lexi Stevens each notched a goal and an assist. Alyssa Cano and Teagan McKelvey rounded out the scoring for the Knights.

Menlo-Atherton 71, Mills 38
M-A (5-0 PAL South, 13-5 overall) was up by 3 at the half, then went on a 20-6 run in the second half to up its current winning streak to nine games. The Bears saw three players reach double figures scoring, with senior guard James Beckwith knocking down four 3-pointers to total a game-high 16 points. Sophomore Skyler Thomas added 13 points and senior Will Beasley had 10. Mills (3-2, 7-10) was led by senior guard Colby Vasquez, who had 14 points.
Carlmont 52, San Mateo 41

Senior guard Lajuan Nelson scored 20 points to help Carlmont (4-1 PAL South, 14-3 overall) maintain outright control of second place in the PAL South Division. Senior forward Zach Burgos added 14 points for the Scots. San Mateo (0-5, 5-12) was led by a game-high 22 points from senior guard Ryan Miles-Ferguson.
Burlingame 67, Woodside 44
With the game tied 23-23 at the half, Burlingame (3-2 PAL South, 7-10 overall) went on a 26-4 third-quarter run to snap a two-game losing streak. Junior guard Anthony Sylvestri scored a team-high 20 points, while freshman Jacob Yamagishi added 13 for the Panthers. Junior Dylan Barnwell led Woodside (0-5 PAL South, 5-12 overall) with a game-high 23 points.
Sequoia 52, Hillsdale 41
Ten different players scored for Sequoia (3-2 PAL South, 7-9 overall) in the team’s third straight win. Cherokees junior Gabe Manguia shared the game-high of 10 points. Guard Junior Cotton added 10 points for the Knights (3-2, 10-7), who snapped a two-game losing streak.
Capuchino 61, Aragon 40
Capuchino (2-3 PAL South, 6-11 overall) outscored Aragon in every quarter to win its second straight, its first such streak in league play since 2016-17. The Mustangs totaled seven 3-pointers, including four from guard Connor Coplin, who totaled a game-high 20 points. Senior guard Dylan Ackerman added three 3s and scored 12 points. Aragon (2-3, 8-9) was paced by senior guard David Avak’s 10 points.

Sequoia 55, Hillsdale 17
Sequoia (5-0 PAL South, 14-3 overall) held Hillsdale scoreless in the first quarter and took a 30-2 lead into halftime to remain alone atop the PAL South Division. Two Cherokees shared the game-high, as junior Talita Falepapalangi and sophomore Alexis Jackson each totaled 10 points. Hillsdale (1-4, 8-9) was led by nine points from freshman Aya Cox.
Aragon 65, Capuchino 58
Aragon (3-2 PAL South, 7-10 overall) leveraged its league record over .500 with its fourth win in a row in heads-up play with Cap, dating back to 2015-16. The Lady Dons were paced by senior Jalene Parangan’s game-high 19 points, while junior Lydia Manu added 13 and freshman Beth Parangan 12. Cap (3-2, 13-4) was led by 16 points from freshman Mele Afeaki, while sophomore April Tuason recorded a double-double with 12 points and 11 assists.

South City 4, Half Moon Bay 2
Undefeated South City (4-0-1 PAL Bay, 9-0-2 overall) won its fourth straight with two goals from junior midfielder Nelson Rodriguez. Senior forwards Christian Vasquez and Lionel Rodriguez added scores for the Warriors to top Half Moon Bay (0-4-1, 2-8-1).
Women’s basketball
CCSF 69, CSM 53
The Valparaiso Avenue tandem of Menlo School graduate Sam Erisman, and Sacred Heart Prep grad Ma’ata Makoni continue their tear through the Coast Conference North, to lead City College of San Francisco (2-0 Coast North, 13-2 overall) to a decisive win over College of San Mateo. Erisman totaled a game-high 23 points. The sophomore guard currently ranks fourth in the state with 22.7 points per game. Makoni, a sophomore forward, added a career-high 18 points.
CSM (1-2, 6-9) was paced by 11 points and eight rebounds from Kyana Wiley (Oceana). Emily Latu (Pacific Bay Christian) added 10.
