Wyatt Blanco, Serra boys’ basketball. With the Padres mired in a four-game losing streak, Blanco delivered one of his best performances of the year. The senior forward made a splash with 30 points Friday in Serra’s 71-57 win over struggling St. Francis. Blanco was dialed in to the tune of 12-of-15 shooting from the field, while balancing his game with three blocks and two steals on defense.
Andrew Tafolla, El Camino boys’ soccer. The senior midfielder has been a key cog in the Colts’ run to an unbeaten Ocean Division title. He scored three times in the final week of the regular season. He converted a penalty kick in a 3-0 win over Capuchino and then scored both goals in a 2-0 win over Westmoor.
Nico Seliantis, El Camino boys’ wrestling. In just his second outing since returning from a six-week injury layoff, Seliantis punched his ticket to the CCS Masters finals with four wins at the CCS Northern Regionals. Wrestling in the 108-pound bracket, Seliantis recorded four wins, including an exciting semifinal pin in sudden victory overtime.
Zoey Lemoge, Half Moon Bay girls’ basketball. The senior post helped lead the Cougars to a pair of wins last week as they captured their first-ever Bay Division title. She scored 21 points in a 51-38 win over San Mateo Wednesday to set up a showdown with M-A Friday for the Bay Division crown. Despite picking up two fouls in the first three minutes, Lemoge went on to post a double-double, scoring 18 point and grabbing 14 rebounds in a 52-44 victory over the Bears.
Kaleb Brodeth, Aragon boys’ basketball. The senior helped the Dons to a pair of wins last week as they clinched the PAL Ocean championship. He scored 14 points in a 46-41 win over Woodside to eliminate the Wildcats. He then scored 17 as Aragon knocked off Mills 60-50 to capture the Ocean title.

Tessa Matthews, Aragon girls’ soccer. The junior forward scored two times and had two assists in a pair of wins for the Dons last week. She opened with a goal in a 2-2 draw with Sequoia and followed that with a goal and two assists in a 3-0 win over rival Hillsdale.
Nicole Franklin, Carlmont girls’ soccer. The Scots became the first team in PAL history to win an Ocean Division championship one year, and a Bay Division title the next. It took a 1-0 victory over Sequoia on the final day of the regular season to do it, and the foot of Franklin set the tone. The junior midfielder scored in the fifth minute, and the lead held up to the final whistle to send Carlmont into the history books.
Sam Ruiz, Menlo-Atherton girls’ soccer. A four-year varsity player, Ruiz assisted on the Bears’ opening goal and then scored their second as they denied Woodside a repeat Bay Division title with a 2-0 win on the final day of the PAL season. She also had an assist as M-A knocked off eventual Bay Division champ Carlmont, 1-0.
Katherine Love, St. Francis girls’ wrestling. The San Mateo native is gunning for a CCS three-peat, and got on track Saturday in the CCS Northern Regionals. Love swept through the 130-pound bracket, recording four first-period pins, including 1 minutes, 23 seconds into the finals against Half Moon Bay junior Kat Abremenko.
Brayden Beliso, Mills boys’ basketball. The Vikings played their faced rival in the penultimate league game of the season, and Beliso led the way for a 73-49 victory, Mills’ second straight win in head-to-head play against Capuchino dating back to last year. The junior guard cracked the 20-point seal, scoring a game-high 22 points.
