Alpine’s 12-year-old Little League All-Stars were the last District 52 squad left standing this season. Winning three championships banners —District 52, Section 3 and Northern California —Alpine became the district’s first team since 2014 to reach the West Region tournament in San Bernardino, one step shy of the Little League World Series in South Williamsport, Pennsylvania.

The Daily Journal will commemorate the District 52 champions for each the 10s, 11s and 12s divisions this week, starting with the Alpine 12s to celebrate their historic run.

Alpine won their first 12 games of the summer All-Stars season and finished with a 12-2 record. They were managed by Dave Levinson, and coached by Michael Hourigan and Jamie Breslin.
