Alpine 10, Hillsborough 0
Nolan Levinson and Derek Armstrong combined on a one-hit shutout against Hillsborough at Trinta Park to deliver Alpine to the championship round of the District 52 11s tournament.
Levinson worked four innings, allowing one hit and one walk while striking out eight. He faced three batters over the minimum, setting down eight straight at one point before Will Duffell broke up the no-hitter in the fourth.
“Lights out,” Alpine manager Dave Levinson said.
“He pounded the zone,” Dave Levinson said. “Good velo, his curveball was working. We’re really proud of him.”
With Alpine leading 4-0, Armstrong was summoned from the bullpen in the fifth. Hillsborough got the first two runners on, but an out at third gave Armstrong some breathing room. Easton Andreacchi followed with a sharp shot to left field, but left fielder Simeon Ouellette-Massiou threw out the lead runner at third. Armstrong ultimately escaped the inning unscathed.
Alpine then broke it open in the sixth with a six-run rally. Martin Breslin, Jack Chambers and Teddy Hourigan each tallied RBIs, before Chambers, Hourigan and Ouellette-Massiou each scored on wild pitches.
Hourigan paced Alpine with three hits and two RBIs. Nolan Levinson added two hits.
With the win, Alpine advances to the championship round starting Monday night at 5:30 p.m. Alpine need be defeated twice to be denied the title, while only having to win once against either Hillsborough or San Mateo American. An if-necessary game is schedule for Tuesday at 5:30 p.m.

Then Jacob Maxwell reached on an infield error, allowing Coller to race around and score the tying run. Aleman then scored on a passed ball, which proved to be the winning run.

Aleman went on to pitch 1 1/3 scoreless innings, retiring all four batters he faced, all on groundouts. Pacifica starting pitcher Carson Bancroft threw two scoreless innings.
