After a humbling 41-14 loss to Los Gatos last week, the Aragon High School football team didn't need any extra motivation on Friday against visiting El Camino.
It showed.
The Dons were flat-out brilliant in nearly every facet of the game in their 42-7 thrashing of the Colts. Aragon (1-1) amassed a whopping 525 yards of total offense, 382 of which came on the ground. Its passing game, which was downright miserable against the Wildcats, had a much easier time picking apart El Camino (1-1).
Noel Alexandre completed 9 of 16 passes for 143 yards and Sean Mosman had a career-high six receptions for 106 yards.
Aragon's vaunted ground assault was simply punishing. Dominic Williams had 13 carries for 109 yards, Hanson Sekona rushed for 88 yards on only five carries, and Matangi Tonga rushed for 90 yards and two touchdowns on 11 carries.
Alexandre also had one of the best games of his prep career, consistently making the right reads and executing Aragon's offensive game plan to near perfection. Mosman, a speedy and precise route runner, was able to get open throughout.
The engine to all of the offensive fireworks? Aragon's O-line of course, which averages a whopping 252 pounds. Talk about some serious beef. Even with the absence of twin brothers Chris and Moses Pita the rest of the offensive line consisting of Okusi Unga, Josh Landis, Chris Havili, Michael Wu and Junior Bola continue to do wonders. The quintet gave Alexandre ample time to throw and the 10 different Aragon ball carriers room to roam.

"They deserve a lot of praise for what they did today," Aragon coach Steve Sell said. "When you come out ranked in the top 10 in the Bay Area, you might be in need of some humble pie. We were humbled by Los Gatos, so it was great the team responded the way they did."
The Dons led 21-0 at halftime and 35-0 after three quarters. They set the tone from the outset, taking the game's opening possession and going on a six-play, 55-yard drive, capped by Tonga's 14-yard touchdown run.
Aragon's two first half turnovers stalled its offense somewhat, but Sekona rumbled 57-yards for a score to make it 14-0 and Alexandre hooked up with Mosman for a 25-yard touchdown with 1:48 left in the second quarter. Mosman was simply delighted with Aragon's aerial assault.
"If you notice, we don't pass that much," he said. "We had a horrible pass offense last week, so it was nice to be able to get it going today. I don't get open that much; my quarterback finds me and does a great job of reading the defense."
Eddie Williams, Sitani Tau, Scott Dito and Tonga led the Dons hard-hitting, smash-mouth defense, which produced a number of jarring hits on El Camino quarterback Dupre Miller, who finished 12 of 22 for 145 yards. Miller, a strong talent who can do it all, was chased and harassed all game long.
"We have a lot of big hitters on defense," Eddie Williams said. "Hitting comes with the emotion of the game. We just wanted to correct our mistakes from last week and tighten things up in practice. It's always better to lose early in the season. Our goal always is to win the PAL championship."
