Bob Wackerman’s response (Dec. 12) to Brian Wright’s spot-on observations (Dec. 9) regarding Donald Trump is yet another example of how amazingly thin-skinned and hypocritical he and most Republicans are. Other than having a hissy fit and calling him a “whiner,” Wackerman didn’t refute a single point on Wright’s descriptive list of Trump’s unworthiness.
So when Senate Republican Majority Leader Mitch McConnell blamed Trump for the Jan. 6 insurrection, calling him “stupid, ill-tempered, a despicable human being,” I don’t recall seeing any LTEs from Wackerman or other Republicans deriding McConnell. Yet, they have no problem calling Biden a crook, a liar and a moron — and yes, that does apply, just not to Biden.
Wackerman is also bad at math, claiming that Trump won by a 50% to 48% margin and a majority of the popular vote. In fact, Trump won 49.83% of the popular vote. That’s a plurality, not a majority, and more people voted for someone other than Trump than voted for him. Incidentally, in the last 75 years, only three presidents had popular-vote margins smaller than Trump’s. If there ever was a mandate, this isn’t it.
Remember, as Trump dismantles our government agencies and the wheels come off our nation’s wagon, it won’t be just the Democrats doing the “whining.”

Hilarious – today we get a letter from Mr. Brenner whining about whining. To follow Mr. Brenner’s lead, I’m going to lead the resistance against Mr. Brenner’s resistance. Hey Mr. Brenner, In presidential elections folks don’t care about the popular vote, only electoral votes and by that standard, Trump has a mandate. How many states did Trump win (I believe it was over 30)? Let’s not forget the fact that the entire country moved to the right. And of course there’s a Republican House and Senate so it sounds like a mandate to me.
BTW, it’s interesting you’ve continued to focus on our great President Trump while willfully ignoring treasonous Biden and his America Last policies. I’m betting rabid lefties will continue “whining” because they haven’t stopped for the past 10 years, even when Trump wasn’t our great President. If there isn’t, there should be a Wine Club for rabid lefties so they can at least have wine with their whine. Perhaps each bottle can come with a complimentary tube of burn cream, or a stronger Preparation for higher priced selections.
Irv - when do you plan on getting over it? Trump won because the American people saw the truth, the truth that you, Rel, Jorg, Mike, and the rest of the Jorgidian cult have zero interest in acknowledging. You are overtly emotional and a blind ideologue who has zero interest in the truth and what is best for America. Biden good, Trump bad orange man... Tell us all why it doesn't matter to you that Biden accepted millions from China and Ukraine and pardoned his innocent drug and sex addict son for eternity? And while you are at it, please tell us why it's okay that Biden pardoned two Chinese spies? Biden's nose and bank accounts are so deep into China's backside that Biden's only way out will be for him to pardon himself.
So, NSC, I would ask you to not speak for me when you have zero evidence of my speaking negatively of the past election results. In fact, I have acknowledged in at least one commentary that Trump won the election and that Harris immediately ceded the next day. It is OK for Biden to issue his various pardons because he can. The SCOTUS has deemed any action while he is in his official capacity as totally immune. Get used to it as we are likely to see several examples from Trump going forward which will test his personal immunity.
So, Rel, we would ask you to not speak, at all, about your so-called J6 insurrection which has proven to be a hoax, repeatedly. At least you’ve stopped referencing the biased J6 Committee kangaroo court. Perhaps you’re now aware that turncoat Liz Cheney is being referred for criminal investigation for witness tampering. Sounds like winning!

Brian - please get some rest. Why worry about events that may or will not happen? I have been worried for the past 4 years about the destruction by the Biden/Harris administration but I was still able to sleep peacefully. My dear Mom taught me as a kid to only worry about things that I could personally control. It has helped my sanity immensely.
I agree, Mr. Wright, you and Mr. Brenner are “not just whining.” You’re both also hysterically screeching based on your hatred of Trump being greater than your love for America. Do your rabid leftie overlords need to add another string to the ever-growing noses of their convenient puppets to keep from tipping over? Instead, I’d recommend you follow Mr. van Ulden’s sage advice.
