I wanted to thank Jon Mays for his sensitive and thoughtful column Aug. 22. I do not know, neither do I want to know the details of that tragic event. But as Jon stated, the lives of Ayden’s family, the 19-year old driver, the e-bike riders and the witnesses have been changed forever, and we need to keep them in our thoughts and prayers. And I, for one, will be holding my loved ones a little closer to my heart.
