Within the last 10 months, I’ve experienced three personal concerns with our United States Postal Service. The first incident happened when the birthday card containing cash was mailed in “good faith” from my Denver address to the adopted Huntsville, Alabama, youth. The envelope was razor cut and the cash was stolen. Secondly, my Denver 30-day mail hold request was ignored on four different days per my front porch video camera. Thirdly, my package mailed containing a gift to a 72-year-old widow from the Panama City Beach, Florida, USPS clerk’s window to Dothan, Alabama — about 87 miles north — was lost, after being approved by the postal clerk. Maybe the USPS leadership should quickly create a “Fingers Crossed” logo for all their property.
As you correctly noted the post office has been going downhill for a few years since Louis DeJoy was appointed Post Master General back in 2020.
He is a big Republican donor and buddy of Trump and had no prior experience in the post office other than being a CEO of a logistics company with contracts with the post office. There’s still concern about conflict of interest.
Part of his plan was to disrupt the postal service to make the public move away from using the postal services. A hidden agenda as a way to help Trump push his phony vote by mail corruption lies.
A letter from SF to Las Vegas used to take 3 days typically but now it’s often 5 days.
Dirk, if Taffy stubs his toe, he blames Trump. If Taffy’s mail isn’t delivered on Taffy's time, Taffy blames Trump. If Taffy has a money issue, Taffy blames Trump. I don’t know about you, but methinks Taffy is overly jealous of Trump.
Another definition of insanity, using the postal service to deliver cash by mail and expecting it to reach its definition. This didn't start in 2020, it started 50 years ago. There are many, many options, maybe it's time to move from the stone-age to the new real world.
