Editor,

In “California’s perpetual fire season,” in the Thursday, Aug. 2, edition of the Daily Journal, the author is right that climate change is worsening the fire season in California and that we need the political will to find solutions. How do we find the political will to reduce carbon emission in this unique political climate?

Well said! I agree with the letter-writer. Meanwhile, the upcoming Global Climate Action Summit in San Francisco will feature lots of innovative thinking about how to curb greenhouse gas emissions at a local and regional level.
