Editor,

I live in the San Mateo Village and cannot agree more with the comments made by letter writer Jacqueline Grubb in the May 25 edition of the Daily Journal.

Mr. Reyna, if the county is not going to keep convicted felons behind bars and the county will not transfer convicted felons to ICE, why would they bother with a minor thing such as traffic enforcement? I know it’s a pessimistic view but it’s based on our current reality. Perhaps as an alternative, they can place a dummy (sorry, mannequin?) in a patrol car (functioning or not) and park it next to the intersection.
