The amount of people in my neighborhood who don’t stop or even accelerate through stop signs has reached epidemic proportions. Considering the narrow width of the streets, it is amazing that no one has been hurt. A policeman could sit at the intersection of East 39th and Branson and write tickets all day. Chief Ed, please fund more traffic officers so we can avert a tragedy.
Mr. Reyna, if the county is not going to keep convicted felons behind bars and the county will not transfer convicted felons to ICE, why would they bother with a minor thing such as traffic enforcement? I know it’s a pessimistic view but it’s based on our current reality. Perhaps as an alternative, they can place a dummy (sorry, mannequin?) in a patrol car (functioning or not) and park it next to the intersection.
