This will effect everyone in San Mateo and beyond and it must be stopped before it’s too late. Our city is contemplating approving a 440-unit eight-story complex at 1700 El Camino Real and a monstrous eight story 386+ unit complex at the Safeway across the street.
These 800+ units plus a new Safeway at the busiest intersection in San Mateo. Total insanity. How many more people will die at this intersection if we don’t stop this assault in our city? I realize there is the mandate to build more housing but, in our case, at what price? We need to protest, speak out and defeat these plans now. Contact your city councilmembers and make our voices heard. We have a great town now, let’s not allow our government to take it away from us.
