Editor,

Empathy is the foundation of democracy. The ability to be considerate of others and to care for others, even regarding issues and needs that do not affect one personally, enables a society to provide for everyone’s minimal requirements of housing, sustenance, safety and health.

Thanks for your letter, Mr. Goldstein, but you fail to explain why Democrats are supporting criminals more than the American people. Shouldn’t everyone, especially Democrats resist the invasion of our country? Perhaps Democrats should have empathy and be considerate of others, especially victims of violent crimes perpetrated by invaders to our country. And perhaps they should have empathy for the families of victims murdered by invaders to our country.

As you say, “We must resist, but even more than “resist,” we must “insist” — insist that we have an obligation to protect not only our personal freedoms but those of our neighbors, co-workers and civil servants.” So let’s do that and resist Democrats to Make America Great Again by helping the Trump administration rid our country of these criminal invaders. Thank you for your attention to this matter.
