Vula Stamos (Xerogeanes), born Feb. 8, 1923, died Dec. 28, 2016, peacefully at home surrounded by her family.
Vula was the wife of Dan Stamos for 45 years (deceased 2004). She is survived by her children Vivi (Larry) Garcia, Steve (Karen) Stamos and Michael Stamos; her grandchildren Laura McKenzie, Michelle (Chris) Harvey, Mark (Brianna) Garcia, Talia ( Nick) Lamb, Dan Stamos, Stephanie (Puya) Vossoughi, Steve (Ashlee) Stamos and her great-grandson Jack Lamb; along with her sister and best friend, Vivi Sarantitis and brother Dino (Jo) Xerogeanes, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
Family and friends are invited to visit from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and attend a Trisagion service at 7 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 8, at the Chapel of the Highlands, 194 Millwood Drive at El Camino Real in Millbrae. The funeral service is 10:30 a.m. Monday, Jan. 9, at Church of the Holy Cross, 900 Alameda de las Pulgas, Belmont. Interment will be at Greek Orthodox Memorial Park in Colma. Reception to follow.
