Thomas George Lunkley, age 68, passed away peacefully in his sleep in Burlingame, California on March 6, 2018.
Tom was born in Ottumwa, Iowa and attended college at the University of Iowa (go Hawkeyes). He traveled the world and loved exploring religious beliefs. He was an avid gardener, music lover, concert goer, reader, jam and jelly maker and Hawk fan. He was a story teller, attentive listener and practical joker. He was funny, kind, gentle and generous and those whose lives were touched by Tom will never forget him.
For over the past 30 years, Tom worked as a dedicated realtor. Most recently, he owned and operated Garden Gate Property Management. He deeply appreciated his clients, enjoyed his interactions with colleagues, vendors and co-workers and strove to give back to the community he loved.
Tom was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Sarah Jane. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 34-years Lynda; step-son Joshua (Christy and Aliyah); step-daughter Heather (Mike and Madison); brother-in-law Kevin and sister-in-law Louise (Megan and Matthew); sister Saundra and brother-in-law Jim (Julie and Joanna); and cherished friends and clients.
Above all else, Tom was true to himself.
Family, friends and clients are invited to a Celebration of Life on Saturday, April 14, 2018 at 11:00am at Crosby-N. Gray & Co., 2 Park Road, Burlingame, CA. Reception to follow.
