Could San Mateo County become one of the healthiest places to live? 🌿
Around the world, certain communities—known as Blue Zones—are home to some of the highest concentrations of people living healthy, active lives into their 90s and even 100s. Researchers have studied these regions for years to understand the lifestyle and environmental factors that support longevity and wellbeing.
Now, that model could be coming to San Mateo County.
Peninsula Health Care District is hosting a FREE community keynote featuring experts from Blue Zones to explore how communities can make everyday environments—where people live, work, and socialize—support healthier choices.
What you’ll learn:
• What scientists discovered in the world’s longest-living communities
• How the Blue Zones model is transforming cities across the country
• What a Blue Zones initiative could mean for San Mateo County
• How residents, businesses, and local leaders can get involved
