Thomas Coolin
Thomas Coolin, a resident of San Mateo, died Dec. 19, 2019, at the age of 93. He was born in Boston the only child of Thomas Albert and Rita Jane Coolin. He met his wife Ethel while living in Boston. They were married for 64 years.
Tom is survived by his six children. His only son Tom, and five daughters, Cathy, Mary (Nofrio), Jeanne (Terry), Reta and Lois (Steve). Nine grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.
Tom served in the Air Force for 23 years and in World War II and the Korean War.
Services will be held at St. Mark Catholic Church in Belmont. There will be a 7 p.m. rosary Tuesday, Jan. 29, with a Funeral Mass 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Jan. 30, with full military honors at the conclusion of Mass. He will be interred in a private family ceremony at California Central Coast Veteran Cemetery in Seaside California at a later date.
