Ronald “Ron” Frank Nicholson, 56, of San Mateo, died Oct. 11, 2018. He was born Jan. 12, 1962, in San Francisco to the late Roy Lee and Lois Nicholson.
Ron was a graduate of Menlo-Atherton High School. After graduating from Menlo-Atherton he was employed at Marine World and then later at the Dr. Martin Luther King Center in San Mateo as well as working part time at Kmart. He also worked in the San Mateo Elementary School District as a maintenance sub. Through the years while working and socializing at the King Center, Ron made lifelong friends and mentors.
“Ron was an outgoing and giving person who loved the Lord. He was always willing to lend a helping hand in all situations. He would run errands for senior citizens and pitch in on any community service project any way he could. He always had a smile on his face and joy in his heart.”
A memorial for Ron will be 11 a.m. Nov. 17, at First AME Zion Church of San Jose. 95 S. 20th St.
