Robert Schindler

Robert (Bob) Schindler, 93, of San Bruno, California, died peacefully Oct. 8, 2018, at his residence.

Bob, a lifelong resident of San Bruno, was born Nov 1, 1924, in San Mateo, to Leo and Clara (Weiss) Schindler. He was preceded in death by his wife of 67 years, Yvonne (Kelley) Schindler and his brother Herb Schindler. Bob is survived by his four sons and their wives, Michael and Christine, Kevin and Vickie, Dennis and Cassie, and Brian and Debbie; nine grandchildren Lisa, James, Steven, Karen, Matthew, Gloria, Christopher, Beau and Myles; and six great-grandchildren, Gianna, Lizette, Makayla, Liam, Kieran and William. Bob was a construction superintendant most of his working career, and loved hunting, fishing and golfing with his sons. Bob nearly completed a trip around the world while serving in the U.S. Navy during World War II on the USS Squire, a troop transport.
