Julian V. Venturi, known lovingly by his family as “Papa Jul,” passed away peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2026, in Millbrae, California, surrounded by his family. He was 90 years old.

Julian was born on May 30, 1935, in San Francisco, California to Adelmo G. Venturi and Emma E. Venturi. He grew up alongside his sister, Thelma, in South San Francisco. He attended South San Francisco High School, where he played football as a tight end, and he worked as a caddy at the California Golf Club during his high school years where he developed his passion for golf, and he graduated in 1953. Always eager to work with his hands, Julian went on to graduate from Heald’s Engineering College in 1954. After working for the airlines and PG&E for a short time he started work for General Electric Company and finally landed his dream job as a Major Appliance Trainer for Northern California and Hawaii. He worked for the company for over 45 years.
