Ilias (Louis) Frangos died Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, at age 98.
He was the husband of Hariklia (deceased) for 58 years. Father of Kalliope Fousekis, James Frangos and Chris Frangos; father-in-law of Vlasis Fousekis, Maria Frangos and Alicia Frangos; grandfather of Irene and Chris Kyriacou, Lea and Bob Lyberopoulos, Spiros and Shareen Fousekis, Ilya and Nicole Frangos, Panos and Dimitri Frangos, Elias, Steven, Nicholas, Hariklia and Anthony Frangos; great-grandfather of Stelios, Vlasis and Thanos Kyriacou, Kosta and Kallie Lyberopoulos and James Frangos.
He was born in Vasilitsi, Messinia, Greece, in 1919. A veteran of World War II, Ilias immigrated to California in 1951 where he became a well-known real estate broker for over 40 years. He was an active member of the Greek Orthodox Churches, AHEPA and Messinian Navarino Societies in Sacramento and the San Francisco Bay Area.

Prayer Service (Trisagion) 7 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 20, at Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, 999 Brotherhood Way in San Francisco. Funeral Service, 11 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 21, at Holy Trinity Church. Interment at Greek Orthodox Memorial Park, Colma, CA.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Annunciation Greek Orthodox Cathedral Building Fund, 245 Valencia St., San Francisco, CA 94109.
