Doris Elizabeth McDonald, born March 23, 1929, died Wednesday, May 2, at Brookside Skilled Nursing Hospital.
McDonald was raised in San Francisco, graduated from Balboa High School, and worked as a data-processor for many years.
Doris is survived by her sons Michael Julian and Richard David Silva, daughters Linda Ann and Patricia Lee Silva, and her three grandchildren Mark Julian and Michelle Nelia Silva and Luke Ryan Sauer.
She wasn’t one to care about wearing much makeup and such, but was a weekly client and friend to her hairstylist (Sophia) for about 50 years. Her dear friend Pat Semenero would always make sure Doris was part of her home on holidays. Louise Jenkins was a loving person in her daily life.
Nothing meant more to Doris than her early mornings at the YMCA. She spoke fondly of Mary Spiteri and the other ladies. The good deeds performed by Paulette Schmidt brought many happy tears.
