SANTA ANA -- A former Southern California police officer has surrendered after being charged with defrauding his clients and posting ads on Craigslist soliciting women to have sex with his Labrador Retriever. The Orange County district attorney's office says Kevin Michael Sianez turned himself in Tuesday after a warrant was issued for his arrest when he failed to appear for a court hearing. He was charged last week with 63 criminal counts, including 20 felony counts of grand theft for allegedly defrauding clients while working as an unlicensed private investigator. He also is charged with three misdemeanor counts of conspiracy to commit sexual assault on an animal, after detectives discovered the bestiality-seeking Craigslist ads during their investigation. Sianez was an officer in Stanton and Santa Ana from 1979 to 1986. ------ Information from: Los Angeles Times, http://www.latimes.com
