SACRAMENTO, Calif. (AP) — California Gov. Gavin Newsom kicked off his second and final term on Friday by contrasting his leadership of the nation's largest Democratic stronghold with that of Republican leaders he branded as "small men in big offices."

"California has been freedom's force multiplier, protecting liberty from a rising tide of oppression taking root in statehouses -- weakness, masquerading as strength," Newsom said as he stood in front of the state Capitol.

It is a sad day when our Governor believes his own lies. This State by all standards is falling apart because of his administration's focus. Most of the homeless and welfare recipients live here, taxation is driving the corporations and their employees to exactly the states that he criticizes and he calls busing illegal border crossing migrants to sanctuary locations a crime. No, Mr. Newsom, I don't know how you have been fooling the voting public but you will eventually hit a brick wall with your phony arguments.

Not So Common

Requiring an ID to vote disenfranchises no-one and no-one in their right, honest mind believes this. There are countless things we do each every day that require an ID yet no-one is disenfranchised when they want to buy a beer. But this is how the democrats argue and as Dirk van Ulden, Newsom and his followers believe their own lies.
