A 1-year-old child drowned Wednesday while visiting his great-grandmother in Woodside, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office.
Sheriff's deputies were called to a home in the 200 block of Manzanita Way around 11 a.m. after receiving a report of a child drowning.
When they arrived, Woodside Fire Department personnel were already at the home performing CPR on the unconscious child, according to a sheriff's report.
The boy was transported to Stanford Hospital, where he was pronounced dead at 12:21 p.m.
The San Mateo County Coroner's Office identified the boy as Zane
Harris, who had just had his first birthday on Nov. 13.
Sheriff's officials said Zane and his family had traveled from Cornelius, Ore. to visit his great-grandmother in Woodside.

On Wednesday, just before 11 a.m., Zane's mother went outside to adjust the seats in her vehicle for a trip to the store, according to a sheriff's report.
When the woman went back inside the home about five minutes later, she couldn't find her child.
She and the great-grandmother searched the home, and a few minutes later, the grandmother found Zane face-down in a sunken patio fountain outside the front door, sheriff's officials said.
They called 911 and tried to resuscitate the child until medical responders arrived.
An autopsy by the coroner's office will determine the exact cause of death.
