A 64-year-old transient was sentenced to 22 years in state prison on felony charges he molested an 11-year-old girl in a South San Francisco Laundromat last year, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.
Judge Leland Davis took into consideration the man’s age and health in the sentence to ensure he would never be released in his lifetime, according to Chief Deputy District Attorney Karen Guidotti.
Anthony Miron was convicted in July of walking into the Laundromat on July 29, 2017, approaching an 11-year-old child and began to talk about sex, saying that he would like to have sexual contact with her but didn’t want to get her pregnant.
Miron then kissed the back of her hand, as well as her cheek, before her 15-year-old sister came over and the victim informed her sibling what had happened, prosecutors said.
The children gathered up their clothing and left, then told their parents, who called the police.
Miron, when apprehended, denied touching the girl, but investigators later found that the ordeal had been caught on video. He was already a registered sex offender at the time of his arrest, and prosecutors said this was tried as a second-strike case.
you're right sending a poor innocent man to prison for feeling a young girls thigh kissing her on the cheek telling her how he wants to get intimate and he was already registered a sex offender. what has this country gone to.
the police report just says the jist of the situation if it went to full detail on what he said then you wouldnt look at it as just a "conversation" more like an attempted seduction I was on the phone with her sister when this happened i have the facts

22 (twenty-two!) years / life in prison for a conversation and two kisses on the hand and the cheek???
We have lost all sense of measure.
