Marin and San Mateo counties and the City of Imperial Beach in San Diego County filed a civil suit Monday against dozens of fossil fuel companies for allegedly contributing to sea level rise.

The suits filed in Marin, San Mateo and San Diego counties’ superior courts claim that 37 oil, gas and coal companies knew for nearly 50 years that greenhouse gas pollution from their fossil fuel products would significantly impact Earth’s climate and sea levels.

More lawyers, that's what we need. Our money, their fun. Gee wiz, really think california loons are gonna prevail? San Mateo used to be a smart county. Now with stuff like this, just as goofy as the rest.

Perhaps the most ridiculous story in a long time! So, why don't we name Dave Pine as a defendant in the suit? He drives a car, doesn't he? What a joke. This story has David Lim and Jerry Hill written all over it.

As they try to get money from the oil companies they seek taxes and ask residents to pay for levee improvements in North Shoreview.
