On Apr. 12, 2024, the San Mateo County Sheriff's Office will be conducting a sobriety and driver's license checkpoint, 6 p.m. to 2 a.m. in the 100 block area of El Camino Real in Millbrae.
According to a press release, "that impaired driving is not just from alcohol. Some prescription medications and over-the-counter drugs may interfere with driving. While medicinal and recreational marijuana are legal, driving under the influence of marijuana is illegal."
A grant from the California Office of Traffic Safety, provides funding for this program.
