With SamTrans ridership down, the transit agency is hoping a variety of service improvements in the works will attract more riders and reverse the trend.

SamTrans spokesman Dan Lieberman said bus ridership has been dwindling since 2015, which saw a peak.

Not going downhill fast, just changing fast. Lots of people are fine living in crowded cities, just not the people who moved here because it wasn't crowded.

No mention of people moving out of San Mateo County, for various reasons, Noise, Gridlock, cost of housing. Quality of Life going down hill fast.
