Beverly Jean Viotti Photo

It is with profound sorrow that we announce the peaceful passing of Beverly “Bev” Viotti, on June 2, 2026, at the age of 88, at home surrounded by her loving family. Born on October 16, 1937, in San Francisco, CA, Bev was the daughter of the late Dr. Robert and Madelene (Gorman) Bilafer. Bev earned her bachelor’s degree from Lone Mountain and dedicated her life’s work to education. She met the love of her life, Raynold “Ray” in La Honda, and they were married for 65 years until he passed in 2024 to the same nemesis, Parkinson’s disease. Bev began her nearly 55-year career in the San Francisco Public School System but soon found her home at St. Matthew Catholic in San Mateo. Bev was the eighth grade Religion and English instructor before moving into an administration role, eventually retiring as Principal. She loved spending time with family, celebrating every holiday together with a large crowd. Those who knew Bev will remember her for her kindness, sense of humor, and devotion to her family and faith. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, grandson Erik Haket, Jr., daughter-in-law Christina (Carlson) Viotti, and sisters Barbara Gewecke and Arlene “Sue” Passalacqua. She is survived by her children Pamela (Patrick) Kelly, Teresa (David) Holley, Raynold (Melissa) Viotti, Suzanne (Erik) Haket, grandchildren Christen Kelly, Trevor (Nicole) Holley, Alicia (Jacob) Gomes, Heather Holley, and Megan Kelly, great grandchildren Francis and Lucia Gomes and Maison Holley, sister Madelene “Snookie” Ennis, brothers Robert and Michael Bilafer, as well as many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
