A Redwood City man who was hired to be a tutor and pleaded no contest to one count of child molestation was sentenced to three years in state prison, San Mateo County District Attorney Steve Wagstaffe said.
Aldo Ricardo Sepulvedaperez, 38, of Redwood City, was hired as a tutor to the victim who was 11 and 12 years old. Over the course of the 15 months, Wagstaffe said the alleged crimes included hugging, touching, showing sex films and use of sex toys.
Sepulvedaperez, who was originally charged with seven counts of child molestation, will also be required to register as a sex offender and have no contact with the victim for 10 years.
