Redwood City police have corrected some early information about a fatal pedestrian collision that took place in the early morning of Sept. 22, 100 feet west of the intersection of Woodside Road and Veterans Boulevard.

Originally, it was reported that a witness, who had been walking with the pedestrian, told investigators they were crossing Woodside Road southbound from Veterans Boulevard when the collision occurred. The witness stated he had crossed ahead of the pedestrian and, upon turning back, saw her being struck. The corrected information, according to police, is that the witness reported he and the victim were crossing the intersection, where there was not a designated crosswalk, at the time of the collision.
