A homeless man was arrested at a Belmont fast food restaurant Friday for pointing a loaded gun at another customer, according to police.
At about 1:25 p.m., three Belmont officers who happened to be outside of the Panda Express on the 1000 block of El Camino Real saw numerous patrons suddenly run out of the restaurant saying there was a man with a gun inside, according to police.
The officers immediately entered and encountered the suspect, Antoine Thornton, 51, who was pointing a handgun at another man, according to police.Â
Thornton complied with officer commands and was taken into custody without incident. The victim, a 49-year-old East Palo Alto man, was uninjured. The restaurant closed for 45 minutes during an investigation, according to police.
