A Menlo Park gangmember convicted of murdering 21-year-old Christopher Baker in East Palo Alto in an act of gang retaliation was sentenced to life in prison without parole Thursday, according to the San Mateo County District Attorney’s Office.

Jerry Coneal, 22, received a consecutive sentence of 25 years to life in prison for using the firearm that shot and killed Baker while he was attending an Oct. 5, 2012, memorial for another murdered gangmember, according to prosecutors.
