Members of the Foster City Parks and Recreation Committee discussed alternatives to the city’s annual Fourth of July fireworks display, including drones, light and water displays, and laser shows.

The city’s annual event draws residents from across the county, who celebrate the holiday not only by watching fireworks along the Foster City Lagoon, but also through participation in entertainment and food festivities. But the Citizens Sustainability Advisory Committee presented other environmentally-friendly options to the Parks and Recreation Committee during its meeting Tuesday, Jan. 2, which could bring in as many, if not more, attendees.

If this goes anywhere it should be a huge embarrassment and the headline should read "American's no longer allowed to be American." The the City Council should direct the City Manager to fire every staff member who wasted tax payer dollars on nonsense.
