A 38-year-old Daly City man has been arrested twice in less than a week as a suspect in two burglary and identity theft cases.
The first incident was on May 22, when a theft from an office and vehicle were reported at 700 El Camino Real in Millbrae.
A wallet and keys were stolen from the office and used to enter the owner’s vehicle, where a bag with numerous personal items was taken.
The victim’s credit card was then used to make a large purchase at the Best Buy at Towne Center in San Bruno, the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office said in a news release.
A week later, on May 29, detectives from the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Detectives Office arrested Puzon in a second incident reported a day earlier in San Carlos. In that case a woman’s wallet was stolen in a residential burglary and her credit card was used to make purchases at four businesses at Towne Center in San Bruno.
Mark Puzon of Daly City was identified by a store employee as a suspect in that case. On June 3, witnesses and video surveillance where used to identify Puzon as the suspect in the Millbrae incident and he was arrested a second time and book on the new charges.
