Editor,
Many countries and the U.N. have recognized a Palestinian state. Such a state does not exist and never has existed, it doesn’t have recognized borders, its leaders have not been selected recently. The Palestinian leaders up to now have not wanted a state next to Israel, evidenced by their rejection of many offers of a peace plan: the U.N. Partition Plan in 1948, offers by Israel prime ministers Rabin and Barak and Ohlmert, the Abraham Accords by President Trump. Their recognition is one-sided, they made no similar recognition of a state for other ethnic groups: Kurds, Tibetans, Uyghurs, Basques, Catalans. Their recognition is pro-Palestinian and at the same time anti-Israel.
